Laura Faragó is an Assistant Professor and researcher at the Department of Social Psychology, Eötvös Loránd University. She holds an MA and a PhD in Psychology. She has taught courses at the Eötvös Loránd University, Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Semmelweis University, Corvinus University of Budapest, and Óbuda University. She has participated in the PolRom project, the DEMOS - Democratic Efficacy and the Varieties of Populism in Europe (a collaborative H2020 Research & Innovation project), and in research projects funded by the Hungarian Scientific Research Fund (OTKA, NKFIH). Faragó received the scholarship of the New National Excellence Program of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology from the source of the National Research, Development, and Innovation Fund in 2022 and 2023. She has 15 academic publications, two-thirds of which are in English. Her current research focuses on reducing susceptibility to fake news with effective social psychological interventions.
