Politics rarely moves on policy alone. It moves on feelings. Throughout the year of 2025, MORES tracked how moral emotions—anger, fear, pride—drive political stories: from the emotional narratives governments tell about Brussels to the moral emotions that both unite and split voters across Europe. We built a tool to detect those emotions in text, across seven languages. We mapped them across governments, leadership styles, social media, and public discourse. And we published the findings, openly, for researchers, decision-makers, civil society groups, journalists, and society at large. Based on rigorous research by MORES’s nine teams across Europe, the results are synthesised in MORES's first annual report. Download it via the button above.
